Reunion Tour: Behind The Scenes

The Girls gave an exclusive backstage interview to Sky News in the UK. Take a look at Victoria's costume, pretty nice but according to Geri the costumes aren't done yet.

Ummm you better get a move on Girls, the show opens in two days. I still can't believe that it's almost here, it's just come so quickly.

Spice Girls Tesco Ad # 2

In their second commercial for Tesco stores in the UK, the Girls fight over what to have for Christmas lunch. I'm loving these commercials.

Emma Blogs Of Blisters

Emma has updated her official website with a blog to the fans regarding the tour (and the blisters she is enduring on our behalf).

Hi y'all,

I'm sorry I'm only just sending you this new blog, but you wont believe how busy we've been. Were rehearsing our bottoms off every day for the show. Its been so exciting being back on stage with the girls and performing all our classics!

At this very moment I'm practicing the routines in my heels and Ive got the most painful blisters. But you're all worth it! : )

Our only day off so far was Thanksgiving, and we spent a beautiful day at Victoria's house with lots of delicious food and wine and celebrated with our friends and families.

Beau is being the best little boy in the world, and we've got him some little ear protectors so he can watch rehearsals. As soon as he heard Wannabe he started dancing by kicking his little legs around! He is just so gorgeous.

I really cant wait for you guys to see the show. I hope you enjoy it. Not long to go now.

See you soon.

Lots of love

Emma xx

I personally can't believe that it has come so quickly. Two days the tour starts in....TWO DAYS. Wow. Anyway, so I've been trying to add the new Spice Girls Tesco commercial but it seems like embedding is being a hideous bitch goddess today, so for now I'll just add the link to it, and I'll try adding it again tomorrow.

Melanie C LA Gig

All the lucky fans in LA will be getting an extra dash of spice in their lives. Our beloved Melanie C will be performing an acoustic gig at LA club The Mint on December 6th. Mel has not performed a solo show in North America since the success of her first solo release Northern Star, but she is cleverly taking advantage of her day off between Reunion shows in order to introduce her latest music to the masses. Will she continue this trend with solo shows in other parts of the world and re-establish her solo career in other markets? Let's hope so.

Tickets for the LA show are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Visit the mint website for more details.

Inside Look: Merchandise

Above we have the lovely Melanie Chisholm modelling the new Sporty branded t-shirt that will be on sale at the concerts beginning this quickly approaching Sunday. According to the official website, all of the Girls have their own Spice tagged T-shirt that will be on sale, each of them designed with the individual girls "Spicy twist". These t-shirts seem to marketed toward the female fan base, but don't worry fellas there are treats for us too.

"We've also got a vest that says Spice Boy that is fantastic!" reports Victoria.

Plus for the wee babies that are singing Mama in gibberish, you can get a hold and make a mess of your very own Spice Baby bib. I'nt that special.

Cavalli Costumes 2: Rumor

Hey everyone. I just came along this picture which is rumored to be another sneak peek at the Cavalli costumes made for the Reunion Tour. This looks like the real thing and it certainly goes along with their ideas of having a nod to their characters, but updating the look. It's unconfirmed as of now, but it would be so hot if these were real. What do you guys think?

DVB Concession

A concession stand devoted to Victoria's fashion line DVB fashions has recently opened at top London department store Harrod's. The stand is currently devoting itself to Victoria's denim line but hopes to have a selection of her famous eye wear in the very near future. Her sunglasses made a huge fuss when the first batch appeared in the posh department store back in July 2006, selling out completely in mere minutes.

Of this news Victoria says,

"I'm delighted to have the first dVb concession open in Harrods. It is a wonderful store that has such international appeal while retaining its strong English heritage. It's also so intrinsically linked to London there is an intimacy to dVb opening there."

Victoria and David's new fragrance from their Intimately Beckham fragrance line called "Night" is now available in North America. Hopefully she will make a deal with some North American clothing chains and her DVB fashion line will have the same success on this side of the world.

Design Your Own Merchandise

Oooooh, this looks like fun. On the official website, you can now design your very own Spice T-Shirt for purchase. Choose what size, what color, and what monogram you want your T to be designed with. Your choices are...

Baby Spice
Scary Spice
Ginger Spice
Posh Spice
Sporty Spice
Choose Spice
Girl Power
Mama
Spice Boy
Spice Up Your Life
Team Spice
Viva Forever

So all of you who thought you were Ginger Spice in last weeks poll, can prove it to the world lol.

Now this is a good idea. Better than selling eyelashes wouldn't you say? Each T-shirt also comes with a Spice Girls logo on the back.

You're In A Bubble

Get it? It's a Geri song title.....I know, I'm so clever. Anywho, Geri writes to us from within the Spice Rehearsal bubble this week with some new insights. I told you I would get to the other girls.

Hi there,

So it's 10.30pm and I got home half an hour ago. We just did a run through of the show; it's feeling really good. It's hard to tell you without giving too much away...but Simon Fuller, our manager, came down and he was blown away. I think we might surprise a few people. Actually, I never thought I'd say this (because I wasn't part of the group when it was conceived so it was hard to be objective) but "Holler" is white hot. That's all I'm saying otherwise the girls will kill me.

Okay, so backstage...it's amazing to see how much goes into making a show - lights, catering, dressers, sounds, engineers, crew - it's like a travelling circus.

I actually feel like I'm in the Spice bubble... we are encapsulated in this world where we are just immersed in each other's lives constantly. Just before the run through of the show this morning, Mel B, Victoria and I even went to the loo together...in separate cubicles, obviously!

But of course... there's also my daughter Bluebell. She loves hanging with the Beckham boys. Cruz and Bluebell have play dates, and Romeo - well, he is just gorgeous with her. Actually, it was a beautiful moment when we were rehearsing the other day and all of our kids were playing on the stage at the same time. It made me smile.

As you probably know, Mel B was in the live final of Dancing With The Stars and we surprised her on Monday down at the show. She was so shocked, it's the first time we've ever seen her quiet! She was with us in rehearsals yesterday morning and then went to the studio in evening for the results show. She SO should have won... I'm very disappointed. But we are all so incredibly proud of her. You're a winner to us Mel!

Okay, I have to go to bed in a bit as we are working really hard on the show and I need to get some rest. If you have a ticket for the tour, you really are in for a treat. Get ready to party!

Big X

Geri

A Funny Sort Of Contest

Wow, Guys I'm so sorry to be posting so many stories about Melanie B but everything does seem to be revolving around her at the moment. I'll start posting things about the others soon I swear, I just found this too funny not to write about.

To help celebrate her incredible run on DWTS, Melanie has decided to hold a competition for one lucky fan to win the pair of false eyelashes (yes, you read that right) she wore last night during the final results show.

All you have to do is send an e-mail to competitions@thespicegirls.com with your name, age and address and the answer to this question. What is the full name of Melanie's Dancing With The Stars dance partner? Easy enough.

I'm sure Drag Queens around the world will be delighted. What an odd thing to give away. It's like platypus odd. She should give away her whip, that would be hot.

Melanie Thanks You All

Melanie posted a message to her fans after that horrible results show last night. I still can't believe she didn't win. This is the exact same reason that I stopped watching American Idol, people are stupid when it comes to voting lol. I think I'll continue to watch Dancing though, it's a good show overall. Anyway, here's the message. Congrats once again to our Girl Mel!

Hey!

I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to all of you Spice fans who voted for me and Maks on Dancing With The Stars.

I didn't ever think we'd make it this far!!! I've had an absolute blast and the Girls coming to the show on Monday night was just amazing. Well done to Helio for winning (Grrrr... just kidding, ha ha ha!)

Your support over the last few weeks has been incredible. I'm back in Spice rehearsals today as we're putting the finishing touches to the show. It's going to be AWESOME.

You lot rock. See you on tour.

Mel B.
x

The Return Of The Spice Girls Tour kicks off in 4 days. Can't wait. Watch her fans build her a trophy or something lol. I could see that happening.
Oh by the way, did any of you Canadian fans see the adverts for the Spice Girls new Official Documentary "Giving You Everything"? It will be airing on CTV December 17th, just in time for Christmas. I'm very excited.

Melanie Finishes Second

It's about 3 minutes after the announcement and I still can't believe those results. Melanie sadly finished second in Dancing With The Stars, with Helio Castraneves taking home the trophy. Even if I hadn't been a fan of Melanie's, it still wouldn't change the fact that after Sabrina was kicked off, she became the best dancer of the group and completely deserved to win. Especially considering the schedule she had with the Spice Girls rehearsals cut into her rehearsals for the show, and she still managed to keep herself in the top spot pretty much every week. I guess there are more race car fans than there are Spice Girls fans.

I loved watching Helio, he was very entertaining to watch but I'm sorry, when you look at the entire season...he didn't deserve to win. Oh well, congrats to Helio and Julianne anyway, and Well Done Mel & Maks. You were amazing.

PS. At least she wasn't beaten by Marie. That would have been inexcusable. Plus, Mel did get one spot higher than Emma did on the UK version.
PPS. God I sound so bitter as I read this back. I'm not really, if there was anyone for Mel to lose out to, I'm glad it was Helio...I just don't think he should have. That's all. This is my 100th post btw. That makes me pretty happy. Yay Me!

The Spice Girls Surprise Mel B

As I just reported, I was extremely shocked (and happy...let's not forget happy) to see the four other Spice Girls in the DWTS audience last night cheering on Mel B. What I didn't know until just now is that Melanie herself was surprised to see them.

According to Mel, they burst into her trailer just minutes before the show was set to air to wish her a hearty good luck before making their way to their seats.

"I couldn't believe it when the girls walked in to my trailer. I'd only been talking to Geri on the phone 10 minutes before....it was un-freaking-believable!"

After the show, her husband Stephen took her out for a congratulatory dinner in a specially ordered leopard print limo. Pretty nice, eh?

PS. I've been trying to add the video of Melanie's second dance from last nights show, but for whatever reason it isn't embedding. So you can watch her freestyle dance here. I'll keep trying to post it though.

Melanie B DWTS Finals: The Cha Cha

Spice Girls are in the House! Okay, so it's a bit odd for me to say phrases like that, but I was so happy to see them their in the audience cheering on Mel and booing Carrie Ann (nice one Geri). Melanie remastered the Cha Cha in her first dance of the finals. Does she deserve to be number 1? We'll see.

Re-Post: Melanie B DWTS Week 4: The Viennese Waltz

Thanks to visitor "quiet_spice" for letting me know that this video was no longer available. Here it is again.

Melanie B On Larry King For DWTS: Part 2

Here is the second half of the Larry King interview. The stars are joined by their dance partners.

Melanie B On Larry King For DWTS: Part 1

As we all know by now, the Dancing With The Stars finale airs tonight and tomorrow night, and the 3 remaining stars were on Larry King Live (guest hosted by Mario Lopez) last week to discuss how this experience has been for them. Melanie appears via satelite from the Tour rehearsals.

Name A Jumbo Jet

What a bizarre title for a post!

The newest competition from thespicegirls.com is for the fans to vote on a name for a Virgin Atlantic jumbo jet. Virgin Atlantic will then fly one lucky winner and a guest to somewhere in the US to meet the girls at the plane unveiling. Such a strange prize.

So, for those of you who may be interested here are the rules.

Firstly you must pick a name for the plane from the three choices given. The choices are...

1) Spice One
2) Girl Power
3) Spice Girl

Secondly you must answer the following multiple choice question: What was the name of the Spice Girls first UK Christmas Number 1 single?

1) Say You'll Be There
2) 2 Become 1
3) Mama

And last but not least, fill out your information in order to be contacted if you've won. Follow this link to the competition page. The contest will close on December 5th.

TomKat Visits The Spice Girls

The Spice Girls recently had some high profile fans show up to one of their rehearsals. Victoria's good friends Tom and Katie stopped by with their cute as sin baby girl Suri, to wish the Girls good luck when the shows begin.

TomKat enjoyed an impromptu personal performance from the five, while the little one danced around to the music. Her daughter was hardly the only one excited about being there, Victoria was quoted saying,

"Katie has told me before that she used to be a big Spice fan so it was great for her to meet the other girls."
I have a bizarre fondness for Katie Holmes despite the fact that I've never particularly liked any of her work. She's kinda like a more glamorous looking version of Sandra Bullock to me. News like this only fuels my like for her.

In other celebrity news, Eva Longoria (another friend of Victoria's) has admitted to loving the Spice Girls, she confessed that she and the other Desperate Housewives will be attending one of the shows together. Imagine being at that show.

God, this is such a stupid rambling post I can't believe I'm publishing it. Oh well, can't be perfect all the time.

Argentina Fiasco

Over the weekend, many blogs had been reporting that the Girls had sent out an e-mail to their fans in South America, informing them that they had cancelled their show in Buenos Aires, Argentina due to scheduling conflicts with the UK and US shows. This letter read as follows.

Hi there!

First of all, we would like to thank all our fans who bought our Greatest Hist Album, it's doing great! As you know, the demand for our concert tickets in the USA and the UK has been really overwhelming. So, in order to meet that demand, it’s not possible for us to keep extending the tour because of our solo projects and family obligations. That means we are unable to hold a concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We're incredibly sorry for the delay in making this announcement, but we have been really trying to fit this date in our schedule.

To make this up for you all, we’ll be having some great competitions for our South American fans. The lucky winners will attend one of our London shows (flight and accommodation included!) and will receive an All Access Pass! Isn’t that MAJOR?

Keep checking thespicegirls.com for news on rehearsals and exclusive contents!

Best Wishes

Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C, and Victoria

xxxxx

I'm happy to report that this story was completely bogus. The Girls released a statement through the official website reassuring that they would be putting on the concert in Argentina, but date announcements had been postponed due to the additional dates added to the UK and US legs of the Tour.

Don't cry Argentina, you'll get the chance to "polka the salsa" too. Just be patient.

PS. Shame on whoever put together this false letter. ;)

Melanie B On TV Guide

Melanie B, her dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and their fellow contestants have landed themselves on the cover of this weeks edition of TV Guide. A full article inside, goes in depth into the Dance competition series as the finals approach next week. The article and photo's were actually done the week before Cameron Mathison was kicked off, so both he and Jennie Garth are included in the layout. Here are a few of the quotes from the article regarding Melanie.

Melanie on her figure:

"I’ve really toned up. The funny thing is my bum has gotten bigger, I think because of all of the dancing. [I learn the dances by] mimicking the finer points. I'll look at the way they [dancers] place their hands and say: 'Oh, I must remember to do that'."

Maks on Mel's figure:

"One of her dressers for the Spice Girls was checking her measurements and said: 'This can't be right. Somebody must have measured wrong.' All the measurements were too big."

Head Judge, Len Goodman, on Melanie's strength's and weaknesses:

"Her strength is that she's equally good in Ballroom and Latin. Her weakness is that she does the least practice of all the couples. She can't do six hours a week and pull it off."

Remember to watch and vote for Mel and Maks on Monday night. God, I sound like a bloody broken record. Oh well.

Cavalli Designs: First Look

Roberto Cavalli has revealed a glimpse at some of the costumes he has designed for the Reunion Tour and spoken openly about the others, reporting that the Girls will appear in white and black tuxedos, silver space age uniforms, shiny mini dresses with crystals and feathers, sensual leather corsets, and shiny jumpsuits.

In a recent interview, Cavalli spoke about what it has been like working with the Girls on this project.

"I have known Victoria for a long time, and always admired her style and personality. At their debut, the Spice Girls generated a trend with their looks and now they have put their trust in me to get a new, unique and iconic appeal for the tour."

"When I met them, I understood why the world went crazy for their unique brand of girl power. They are an irresistible mix of energy, joy, humour and a dash of glamour. I'm sure their strength will take us by storm again."

I wonder if those 1940's military outfits they wore at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show are also part of the tour wardrobe? I guess we'll find out soon. There are only a mere 9 days left until the Tour kicks off in Vancouver. Can't wait.

Victoria Turns Down Sex

After making a leap into the television market with her Coming To America special and a guest spot on Ugly Betty, Victoria Beckham revealed to Entertainment Weekly magazine that she was offered a small role in the Sex And The City Movie.

Victoria was quoted as saying...

"I got asked to be in the Sex and the City film, which I would have loved to have done, but because I am in full-on Spice Girls rehearsal mode, unfortunately, I can't do it."

Man, that would have been so awesome and just another reason (to add to the hundreds) of why I can't wait to see this movie. Oh well, I guess I'll just watch Geri's guest starring appearance from season 6 of the show when I get home tonight. Phoebe Kittenworth Rules!

Solo Spice: Geri Halliwell - Look At Me

After leaving the Spice Girls and accepting a job as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, Geri returned to the music scene with this cheeky, in your face video, metaphorically laying to rest her Ginger Spice monocre and image. The melodramatic bridge was actually cut out of the radio version in the US. Geri thought they would be turned off by it.

Look At Me went to #2 in the UK music charts (behind Boyzone's "You Needed Me), and to #3 in Australia and Canada.

PS. The volume is a little low on this one, you may have to turn it up a bit.

Maks Speaks About Melanie

Maks recently discussed working with Melanie on this season of DWTS. He had this to say...

"Her practice schedule is 10am to 7pm with the Spice Girls, no breaks, and then she's practicing with me from 7 to probably 7.45! (teasing) It is very difficult, but we're doing it. We don't practice nearly as much as the other celebrities and maybe we should! Mel is by far the best dancer in this competition, no question. Helio Castroneves can try and come close because he's a guy and he can just stand there and have Julianne [Hough] do her thing around him. I'm not hating! I think he's developing and improving and everything else but in the end, he isn't Mel. I am like her therapist! We're just happy. Confidence is for people who are nervous. We're not nervous so we don't need to be confident, we just do it. We don't compete, we just perform. Whatever the audience and the fans think, that's great. If we come back, great, if not, that's fine too."

Luckily the two have made it through another round of votes and will be competing against Marie Osmond and Helio Castroneves to win in next weeks finals. As much as I am rooting for Melanie, I think Marie (no matter how bad she is) is going to win this competition. The Osmonds have a huge fan following from way back in the 70's, and I think the age demographic of the show appeals more to the age of their fan base. Plus, I think she is getting some sympathy votes for fainting, for her father passing, and her son being checked into rehab. Not to say I wouldn't be happy if Marie won, I think she tries hard and she has an amazing personality, but dance wise....she is sub par as far as Melanie and Helio go.

Remember to vote next week. Emma finished up in third place on Strictly Come Dancing (the UK edition of the show), let's make Mel #1.

11/20/07

Melanie B DWTS Week 9: The Paso Doble

I love that Mel and Maks are late getting to the dance floor and fall over at the end, but they still get another perfect score of 30 out of 30. I guess you really can't say no to a cape and a whip.

Their second perfect Paso and fourth perfect score of the season. Hotness!

Side Note: I think Bruno has small seizures everytime he opens his mouth.

Dancing With The Stars: Len's Masterclass

Head judge Len Goodman, gives the semi-fanalist's a lesson in perfecting their Latin dances before they compete to be in the finals next week. This clip shows all 4 of the stars, so you can either watch all 4 (they are all delightful, even Jennie) or you can skip to Mel B. He visits her and Maks last.

Melanie B DWTS Week 9: The Viennese Waltz

"You're going to be Queen B from now on." Melanie wins over the judges again last night by re-mastering the Viennese Waltz. Last time they did this Waltz, she and Maks ended up in the bottom two, but with a perfect score this time around I doubt anyone would be stupid enough not to vote for her. The way she falls into those four splits is amazing to me.

The other Spice Girls also stopped by to encourage her. Watch Maks' face when Geri tells him he's got girl power, it's priceless.

Melanie C. Blogs About Fashion Shows And Charity

Here is the latest blog from the official website, via the lovely Melanie C.

Whoop whoop whoop! Wassuuup!

Listen to me going all LA! You are not going to believe it, the show is going to be phenomenal!

Things are getting really exciting now as we get closer to the first gig. We've started running the show and after this tour I reckon we'll all be fit enough to run a marathon. It's hardcore, even for Sporty Spice!

Last week we performed at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It went brilliantly and was well scary. It was the first time we'd performed together since 1998! The response was overwhelming.

The crowd were cheering so loudly when we came on stage, I had to hold back the tears. My legs went all stiff and at one point if I hadn't been standing next to Emma I would've fallen over! Not a good look.

We had loads of fun in our 1940s army outfits and vintage Cavalli for Headlines (Friendship Never Ends). Did you see my hat? I wore it for BBC Children In Need too!

Lovely Seal was there - and he sang with his missus, Heidi Klum. The models were gorgeous and Will.i.am from Black Eyed Peas also performed. So, it was a really top night.

At the crack of dawn the next day we were up to chat with our Terry (Wogan) for BBC Children In Need. It was weird watching the show from Melanie's Dancing With The Stars set. We all felt a little homesick.

Melanie is still doing an amazing job on Dancing With The Stars; we surprised her with a little visit. She truly is a superwoman and we are very, very proud.

Thank you to everybody who's bought the single, it's for a great cause.

Take care and be lucky

Love

Melanie C x x

Mel and the rest of the girls were on hand in Melanie B's video diary on DWTS last night giving their support. Watch for those video's to be added.

Greatest Hits Is Number 2

Well, as much as the fans probably tried to get the Greatest Hits album to #1 in the UK, sadly it has entered the UK charts at #2 behind X-Factor winner Leona Lewis' debut album "Spirit".

I am slightly bummed that it didn't reach the #1 spot, but at the same time I can't be angry because Leona does have a gorgeous voice and I love her album. Leona has achieved the honor of having the biggest selling debut album in UK history. Well Done!

The Greatest Hits did reach the number 1 spot in Australia. Way to go Aussie fans. Also, the Children In Need charity event ended up raising £19 million which beat last years earnings of £18.3 million.

(To see the video for Leona's debut single "Bleeding Love", visit my other blog "Impossible Prince".)

A Message From The Girls

The girls have posted the following message to the fans on their official website.

Hey everyone,

Firstly, thanks to each and every one of you who has bought a copy of our Greatest Hits album, we hope that you are enjoying reliving some Spice memories.

We've had a busy week with the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and also Children In Need but it was such an amazing feeling to be back on stage together again. Thanks to all of the fans who made it down to the CBS Studios for the Children In Need performance, it was GREAT to have so many of you in the audience.

Rehearsals are going really well and we can't wait for you to see the show, not long to go now!

Love,

Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria

Spice Girls - Stop [Children In Need Performance]

OOOOH, this takes me back. As well as performing their new single Headlines, the Spice Girls also performed Stop for the BBC Children In Need Telethon. It gets me all excited for the tour to see them performing like this again. Are those the new Spice Boys by any chance? I wonder if there will be any Spice Girls footage in Melanie B's video diary on Dancing With The Stars tonight (seeing as how they used their studio to perform in). Tune in to find out.

Poll Results #2

The results are in for this past weeks poll.

3) Melanie B. (with 16% of the vote)

4) Emma Bunton (with 11% of the vote)

Well well, Ms. Vicki is the most stylish of them all, but Geri wasn't too far behind. Congrats to her and thank you to all of you who voted. Spice Girls - Headlines [Children In Need Performance]

Our first look at the girls performing live. Fine, they're lipsynching but that's usual for them when it comes to doing performances of this nature. I'm loving that Melanie C is still the one who wears the pants (literally). Enjoy it.

Melanie B's Thanks

Each Girl gets her own little shoutout.

Hey you lot!!! I have been so grateful to have had sooooo
many loyal fans over the years, some of you I've met
and others I'm yet to!! I do not have enough bloody
paper here to thank you all so go to melbthankyou.com

There are a few people that I have to thank here though:

Geri: You're my girl, you're crazily, eccentrically
adorable and I love you dearly. We will know
each other to the grave and beyond, just

Victoria's Secret Pictures

The Kodak Theatre was alive last night as the girls appeared on stage as a reformed five some for the first time since Geri's departure in 1998.
Appearing at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in LA, the Girls first hit the stage from behind a glittering Spice Logo as they launched into a performance of Stop in 1940's inspired military outfits (Ala the Andrews Sisters). Their second performance of the night saw them in stunningly beautiful gowns made by Roberto Cavalli (designer of their tour costumes), and glittering with diamonds from jeweller Neil Lane while they performed their latest single Headlines.
The rest of us will get a chance to see these performances when the show airs on CBS December 4th, the day after their first tour stop in Vancouver. As well as that, they will be performing Stop and Headlines tonight via satellite from LA for the BBC Children In Need.
Pictures are made available by Spice News. Visit Their Site.

Will Geri Perform Solo?

Rumors have surfaced that our darling Ginger Spice may perform solo at tonight's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show at the Kodak Theatre in LA. Due to the untimely passing of his Mother, Kanye West has backed out of his scheduled performance.

Geri, who is already scheduled to perform Headlines with the other Girls, has reportedly been asked to fill Kanye's spot with her 2001 rendition of the Weather Girls classic "It's Raining Men".

Will we have twice the Spice when the show airs on CBS December 4th? Be sure to tune in and find out. This show marks the Girls first ever live performance together since their breakup. Should be a good one.
UPDATE: Kanye's slot will be filled by Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am. It was a good rumor anyway lol.

Headlines Dropped

This isn't good news. It seems that the Spice Girls latest single "Headlines" has been dropped to BBC Radio 1's C-list, meaning that it will have a low play rotation. According to George Ergatoudis, Head of Music at Radio 1...

"The opinion of the Radio 1 playlist team is that the song isn't strong enough. Clearly there's a huge number of Spice Girls fans out there, look at the tickets they have sold. But 'Headlines' is very disappointing. The song simply isn't strong enough. It would have been a B-side in their heyday."

That kinda sucks for a song that is meant to be selling for charity. I hope to hell people are at least downloading the song or are going to be purchasing the physical single when it comes out. Most Pitiful. I personally think that it's a great song.

Melanie B. DWTS Episode 8: The Tango

Here is the Tango performance from Monday nights episode of "Dancing".

Mel got a helping hand from her husband, movie producer Stephan Belafonte, to get her into the agressive mood that the dance required.

Not only was Mel cheered on by the ever present Stephan, but her father was also there to lend his support. Isn't that nice?

Victoria Blogs About Betty

Victoria Beckham writes to us this week from the Spice Girls rehearsals in LA about Ugly Betty, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and her costume fitting with Roberto Cavalli's team.

“Hi everyone,

I’m currently sat in our rehearsal studio and I am about to have another fitting with the Cavalli team for our costumes. The other girls will kill me if I give anything away and I don’t want to ruin any surprises… but they look amazing! Roberto and his team have done us proud.

Rehearsals are going really well, I can’t believe that there are only a few weeks until the first show in Vancouver. It’s really scary but exciting at the same time. David and the boys have been laughing at me because I’ve been wandering around the house listening to my iPod and practising the routines. We are including some parts of the old routines but bringing them up to date a bit.

All of the kids have been down to rehearsals. We have an area where they all hang out… its a Spice creche! My boys are so excited about the tour, they can’t wait and I’m really looking forward to them seeing me up on stage. I just hope I don’t get over emotional when I see them!

Ugly Betty was shown over here in the US on Friday, I had such a laugh filming it. If you’re in the UK then you will be able to see the episode on Channel 4 at 9pm on Friday 23 November.

This week is a really busy one for us because not only are we rehearsing for the tour but we are going to be performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Thursday. Friday is BBC Children In Need day in the UK and we will performing from LA. We will be doing two songs, our new single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) and also Stop – which is going to look fantastic. I can’t give too much away but it’s definitely going to be worth watching.

We’ve just had a break for lunch and now we’re going to rehearse with our band… and I’m holding things up to write this blog so I’d better go soon!

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has been out to buy a copy of our Greatest Hits, we hope you enjoy it.

Lots of love

Victoria xxxxx”

Watch Out Semi Finals

Melanie & Maks are safe (thanks again to the fans votes) to perform in the semi-finals of Dancing With The Stars which begin next week. All My Children star Cameron Mathison and his partner Edyta were voted off this evening.

The remaining stars will be attending a Master Dance class instructed by head judge Len Goodman next week. Let's see if Mel has what it takes to walk away with the grand prize. Judging by the way she's been dancing, I'd say she has a damn good shot. It's up to the fans to keep voting though. Marie Osmond has a pretty big fan base (which explains why she hasn't gone home yet). Emma took third place on the UK version of the show, "Strictly Come Dancing", let's see Mel go all the way.

Nostalgic Spice: Who Do You Think You Are? Live @ The Brits '97

This (now infamous) performance of Who Do You Think You Are from the 1997 Brit Awards, was the first time I had ever seen or heard of the Spice Girls, and it basically cemented me as a fan.

The energy, the fun, Geri's Union Jack dress, Victoria's hair, the choreography, everything about this performance was amazing to me.

Have fun watching this nostalgic spice moment. The first of many to come.

Solo Spice: Emma Bunton - Free Me

As much as Emma was probably my least favorite Spice Girl back in the day, she truely has become a fantastic solo artist. With this song, and subsequent album of the same name, she found the sound that really works for her. Not to mention finding her long lost sex appeal.

Anyway, it's the first single from her second album "Free Me"...Enjoy the Bond-girlness of it all.

Melanie B DWTS Episode 8: The Mambo

Mel, Maks and the other five competitors left, had to dance two dances again on this weeks episode of Dancing With The Stars. Mel danced the tango (which I haven't found to post yet) first, and this sizzling Mambo in the second round.

There must be something wrong with that Carrie-Ann woman. She gave her a 9 after telling her she was great. What a bitch. Though they didn't achieve the perfect 30 again, Mel and Maks did come up second on the leader board after combining their two totals.

Will they be safe after tonights results show? I'll post as soon as I find out.

Greatest Hits Out Today!

No story really, just go get it.

Greatest Hits Commercial

The Greatest Hits album came out today in the UK, but I'm patiently awaiting it's North American release tomorrow.

This commercial for the album with Geri doing the voice over will tide me over until then. The beginning is a bit cut off but you get the idea.

Spice Up Your Life Kids!

Hot Tour Book Photos

Here is a sneak peek at a few of the gorgeous pictures that are rumoured to be included in the Return Of The Spice Girls World Tour tour book. The three photo's were obviously taken during the day of the Headlines video shoot as evidenced by their wardrobe. Hopefully there will be more to come. Love it. Let me know what you think. I'm going to be trying to add a small Spice Girls Jukebox to the page, watch for that hopefully coming soon. I'll let you know if I'm successful or not.

Solo Spice: Victoria Beckham - Out Of Your Mind

Victoria's first foray into a solo career was with the dance hit "Out Of Your Mind", a collaboration with the garage act Truesteppers (who provided the music), and fellow pop star Dane Bowers (supplying the male vocals). The song went to number 2 in the UK charts after a much publicised chart battle for the number one spot against UK DJ "Spiller"'s track featuring Sophie-Ellis Bextor.

Either way it's an awesome song, great video, and quite a good achievement for her first solo single.

Spice World: The Movie 10th Anniversary Release

Can you believe it has been 10 years since Spice World came out in theatre's? In honor of the anniversary, the Girls are re releasing the movie on DVD. As of now, the only announced bonus material with the movie is the inclusion of five picture postcards. I'm sure there have to be some kind of outtakes to give us though.

The artwork is nice.
