Melanie Thanks You All

Melanie posted a message to her fans after that horrible results show last night. I still can't believe she didn't win. This is the exact same reason that I stopped watching American Idol, people are stupid when it comes to voting lol. I think I'll continue to watch Dancing though, it's a good show overall. Anyway, here's the message. Congrats once again to our Girl Mel!

Hey!

I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to all of you Spice fans who voted for me and Maks on Dancing With The Stars.

I didn't ever think we'd make it this far!!! I've had an absolute blast and the Girls coming to the show on Monday night was just amazing. Well done to Helio for winning (Grrrr... just kidding, ha ha ha!)

Your support over the last few weeks has been incredible. I'm back in Spice rehearsals today as we're putting the finishing touches to the show. It's going to be AWESOME.

You lot rock. See you on tour.

Mel B.

The Return Of The Spice Girls Tour kicks off in 4 days. Can't wait. Watch her fans build her a trophy or something lol. I could see that happening.
Oh by the way, did any of you Canadian fans see the adverts for the Spice Girls new Official Documentary "Giving You Everything"? It will be airing on CTV December 17th, just in time for Christmas. I'm very excited.

Melanie Finishes Second

It's about 3 minutes after the announcement and I still can't believe those results. Melanie sadly finished second in Dancing With The Stars, with Helio Castraneves taking home the trophy. Even if I hadn't been a fan of Melanie's, it still wouldn't change the fact that after Sabrina was kicked off, she became the best dancer of the group and completely deserved to win. Especially considering the schedule she had with the Spice Girls rehearsals cut into her rehearsals for the show, and she still managed to keep herself in the top spot pretty much every week. I guess there are more race car fans than there are Spice Girls fans.

I loved watching Helio, he was very entertaining to watch but I'm sorry, when you look at the entire season...he didn't deserve to win. Oh well, congrats to Helio and Julianne anyway, and Well Done Mel & Maks. You were amazing.

PS. At least she wasn't beaten by Marie. That would have been inexcusable. Plus, Mel did get one spot higher than Emma did on the UK version.
PPS. God I sound so bitter as I read this back. I'm not really, if there was anyone for Mel to lose out to, I'm glad it was Helio...I just don't think he should have. That's all. This is my 100th post btw. That makes me pretty happy. Yay Me!

The Spice Girls Surprise Mel B

As I just reported, I was extremely shocked (and happy...let's not forget happy) to see the four other Spice Girls in the DWTS audience last night cheering on Mel B. What I didn't know until just now is that Melanie herself was surprised to see them.

According to Mel, they burst into her trailer just minutes before the show was set to air to wish her a hearty good luck before making their way to their seats.

"I couldn't believe it when the girls walked in to my trailer. I'd only been talking to Geri on the phone 10 minutes before....it was un-freaking-believable!"

After the show, her husband Stephen took her out for a congratulatory dinner in a specially ordered leopard print limo. Pretty nice, eh?

PS. I've been trying to add the video of Melanie's second dance from last nights show, but for whatever reason it isn't embedding. So you can watch her freestyle dance here. I'll keep trying to post it though.

Melanie B DWTS Finals: The Cha Cha

Spice Girls are in the House! Okay, so it's a bit odd for me to say phrases like that, but I was so happy to see them their in the audience cheering on Mel and booing Carrie Ann (nice one Geri). Melanie remastered the Cha Cha in her first dance of the finals. Does she deserve to be number 1? We'll see.

Re-Post: Melanie B DWTS Week 4: The Viennese Waltz

Thanks to visitor "quiet_spice" for letting me know that this video was no longer available. Here it is again.

Melanie B On Larry King For DWTS: Part 2

Here is the second half of the Larry King interview. The stars are joined by their dance partners.

Melanie B On Larry King For DWTS: Part 1

As we all know by now, the Dancing With The Stars finale airs tonight and tomorrow night, and the 3 remaining stars were on Larry King Live (guest hosted by Mario Lopez) last week to discuss how this experience has been for them. Melanie appears via satelite from the Tour rehearsals.

Melanie B On TV Guide

Melanie B, her dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and their fellow contestants have landed themselves on the cover of this weeks edition of TV Guide. A full article inside, goes in depth into the Dance competition series as the finals approach next week. The article and photo's were actually done the week before Cameron Mathison was kicked off, so both he and Jennie Garth are included in the layout. Here are a few of the quotes from the article regarding Melanie.

Melanie on her figure:

"I’ve really toned up. The funny thing is my bum has gotten bigger, I think because of all of the dancing. [I learn the dances by] mimicking the finer points. I'll look at the way they [dancers] place their hands and say: 'Oh, I must remember to do that'."

Maks on Mel's figure:

"One of her dressers for the Spice Girls was checking her measurements and said: 'This can't be right. Somebody must have measured wrong.' All the measurements were too big."

Head Judge, Len Goodman, on Melanie's strength's and weaknesses:

"Her strength is that she's equally good in Ballroom and Latin. Her weakness is that she does the least practice of all the couples. She can't do six hours a week and pull it off."

Remember to watch and vote for Mel and Maks on Monday night. God, I sound like a bloody broken record. Oh well.

Maks Speaks About Melanie

Maks recently discussed working with Melanie on this season of DWTS. He had this to say...

"Her practice schedule is 10am to 7pm with the Spice Girls, no breaks, and then she's practicing with me from 7 to probably 7.45! (teasing) It is very difficult, but we're doing it. We don't practice nearly as much as the other celebrities and maybe we should! Mel is by far the best dancer in this competition, no question. Helio Castroneves can try and come close because he's a guy and he can just stand there and have Julianne [Hough] do her thing around him. I'm not hating! I think he's developing and improving and everything else but in the end, he isn't Mel. I am like her therapist! We're just happy. Confidence is for people who are nervous. We're not nervous so we don't need to be confident, we just do it. We don't compete, we just perform. Whatever the audience and the fans think, that's great. If we come back, great, if not, that's fine too."

Luckily the two have made it through another round of votes and will be competing against Marie Osmond and Helio Castroneves to win in next weeks finals. As much as I am rooting for Melanie, I think Marie (no matter how bad she is) is going to win this competition. The Osmonds have a huge fan following from way back in the 70's, and I think the age demographic of the show appeals more to the age of their fan base. Plus, I think she is getting some sympathy votes for fainting, for her father passing, and her son being checked into rehab. Not to say I wouldn't be happy if Marie won, I think she tries hard and she has an amazing personality, but dance wise....she is sub par as far as Melanie and Helio go.

Remember to vote next week. Emma finished up in third place on Strictly Come Dancing (the UK edition of the show), let's make Mel #1.

Melanie B DWTS Week 9: The Paso Doble

I love that Mel and Maks are late getting to the dance floor and fall over at the end, but they still get another perfect score of 30 out of 30. I guess you really can't say no to a cape and a whip.

Their second perfect Paso and fourth perfect score of the season. Hotness!

Side Note: I think Bruno has small seizures everytime he opens his mouth.

Dancing With The Stars: Len's Masterclass

Head judge Len Goodman, gives the semi-fanalist's a lesson in perfecting their Latin dances before they compete to be in the finals next week. This clip shows all 4 of the stars, so you can either watch all 4 (they are all delightful, even Jennie) or you can skip to Mel B. He visits her and Maks last.

Melanie B DWTS Week 9: The Viennese Waltz

"You're going to be Queen B from now on." Melanie wins over the judges again last night by re-mastering the Viennese Waltz. Last time they did this Waltz, she and Maks ended up in the bottom two, but with a perfect score this time around I doubt anyone would be stupid enough not to vote for her. The way she falls into those four splits is amazing to me.

The other Spice Girls also stopped by to encourage her. Watch Maks' face when Geri tells him he's got girl power, it's priceless.

Melanie B. DWTS Episode 8: The Tango

Here is the Tango performance from Monday nights episode of "Dancing".

Mel got a helping hand from her husband, movie producer Stephan Belafonte, to get her into the agressive mood that the dance required.

Not only was Mel cheered on by the ever present Stephan, but her father was also there to lend his support. Isn't that nice?

Watch Out Semi Finals

Melanie & Maks are safe (thanks again to the fans votes) to perform in the semi-finals of Dancing With The Stars which begin next week. All My Children star Cameron Mathison and his partner Edyta were voted off this evening.

The remaining stars will be attending a Master Dance class instructed by head judge Len Goodman next week. Let's see if Mel has what it takes to walk away with the grand prize. Judging by the way she's been dancing, I'd say she has a damn good shot. It's up to the fans to keep voting though. Marie Osmond has a pretty big fan base (which explains why she hasn't gone home yet). Emma took third place on the UK version of the show, "Strictly Come Dancing", let's see Mel go all the way.

Melanie B DWTS Episode 8: The Mambo

Mel, Maks and the other five competitors left, had to dance two dances again on this weeks episode of Dancing With The Stars. Mel danced the tango (which I haven't found to post yet) first, and this sizzling Mambo in the second round.

There must be something wrong with that Carrie-Ann woman. She gave her a 9 after telling her she was great. What a bitch. Though they didn't achieve the perfect 30 again, Mel and Maks did come up second on the leader board after combining their two totals.

Will they be safe after tonights results show? I'll post as soon as I find out.

Melanie B DWTS Episode 7 Part 2: The Paso Doble

"Top That!!!!". After achieving low scores dancing the foxtrot, Melanie bounces back dedicating her dominatrics infused performance of the Paso Doble to Sabrina Bryan. Maks looks really good in leather (sweet Lord), and Melanie appears to be extremely short of breath and pulls a "Geri" by pinching Tom Bergeron's ass. Another perfect 30. As I mentioned earlier, Mel and Maks escaped elimination this week, and all remaining contestants will again be preparing 2 dances for next weeks show.

Melanie B DWTS Episode 7 Part 1: The Fox Trot

As promised, I've found Melanie B's two performances from this weeks episode of Dancing With The Stars. First up we have the Foxtrot, which was rather subpar for the couple who achieved perfection last week. The judges were not really impressed, and gave them a score of 24 out of 30. In the video diary, Melanie reveals that she is learning 20 songs and 20 dance routines for the Reunion Tour. God she must be tired.

Melanie B Does It Again

Last nights episode of Dancing With The Stars saw the couples doing two different dances in the one episode. One, a ballroom piece and the other, a Latin piece. Melanie B and her partner Maks were assigned the Foxtrot, and the Paso Doble, and certainly delivered the goods on the latter.

Although the pair (like many of their other competitors) did poorly when it came to the ballroom portion (scoring a mere 24 out of 30, which was their lowest score since week 2), when the second round came up, Melanie released the ferocity of Scary Spice as she danced the Paso Doble to En Vogue's "Free Your Mind". Leaving the judges speechless, she achieved her second perfect score of the season, the only star to do so thus far. Mel and Maks dedicated their dance to Cheetah Girl's star (and former co-competitor) Sabrina Bryan, who was shockingly voted out of the competition last week despite being the first to achieve a perfect 30, and being hailed as a favorite to win.

Will Mel and Maks be safe tonight at the results show? Or will they suffer the same fate as Sabrina? Tune in to find out. I'll post the video's of last nights two performances as soon as I find them.

PS. I just read that Marie Osmond's father, George Osmond past away today at the age of 90. My guess is Marie will not be present during tonight's results show. First Jane Seymour's mother passes away, and now this. It's kind of ironic that Marie dedicated one of her performances last night to her Mom and Dad. Sad.

UPDATE: Mel & Maks are safe to dance another week, Jane Seymour got the boot.

Re-Post: Melanie B. DWTS Episode 6: The Rumba

Melanie and Maks win over the judges with their passionate Rumba and achieve a perfect score of 30 out of 30 on this past weeks episode of Dancing With The Stars. Maks is hilarious when he tries to imitate Mel's accent when she exclaims "I got stuck" in rehearsals.

Re-Post: Melanie B DWTS Episode 5: The Samba

Melanie powerhouses her way out of the bottom 2 during the 5th week of Dancing With The Stars by Spicing up the Samba. She and Maks also fly to London in order for Mel to shoot the video for the new Spice Girls single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends), and they also get a bit of support from the other Girls. Geri is too funny.
