Victoria Beckham: Wardrobe Website Up

It's been quite awhile since Victoria's official website has been updated with any new material, but now it is the homepage for her foray into the clothing business. The intro video shows many of her models (who have been previously shown in the original photoshoot for the line) running around a mansion and hiding about the house dressed in one of the 10 dresses that make up the collection.

Once past the video, you can choose between the numbers 1 to 10 and get more information on each of the individual styles. Or enjoy reading Victoria's introduction letter which reads as follows....

I am a woman who has loved fashion for as long as I can remember and over the years I have dreamt of creating a collection of dresses that embody my own personal style and embrace the female form. Here in my first 10 dresses, I have designed garments aimed to make women feel confident and timelessly stylish. Every detail has been taken into consideration from fabric through to structure with every piece construsted to flatter a woman's figure. I have enjoyed every stage and part of this process. I am blessed to be able to do what I love and am thankful beyond words for the opportunity I have been given and the support I am receiving. Thank you for sharing my dream and true passion. This first collection has been a lifetime in the making. I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I have loved creating it.

Victoria.

If you are interested in purchasing any of Victoria's designs and are unaware of what stores they are being stocked in, you can take a look at the Worldwide Stocklist to get an idea of where they are being sold in your area. Be aware that these designs are not widely available yet.

PS. The photo's for this post are the new Giorgio Armani women's underwear print ads featuring the lovely Mrs. Beckham.

Emma Bunton: Something For The Weekend

Okay, she hasn't really been around but she's kind of the Spice Girl that's known for taking more breaks away from the public eye. But for all you lucky fans in the UK, Emma will be co-hosting the morning chatshow "Something For The Weekend" this Sunday (January 18th) at 10am with regular host Tim Lovejoy. It's not a performance, but at least it's something. Hopefully she'll put out more music someday. Until then, we'll just have to keep looking for her on the telly.

Sidenote: Isn't Tim Lovejoy the name of Reverand Lovejoy on The Simpsons?

Happy 35th Birthday Melanie C

Hi Everybody,

Where have I been? I've had a bit of a weird time since I got back from my holidays and my computer has been on the fritz, but life continues on. There hasn't been a lot of major news to report from the Spice Camp so I guess it's okay that I took a bit of time off. I don't know how much I'll be posting since the news world is so slow but the odd post here and there will probably be appreciated by those who want something to look at.

So, today is Melanie C's 35th Birthday and I wanted to write a short little note to wish her a very happy one indeed. Our eight month pregnant Sporty girl was seen last Friday in all her glowing glory at The Sunseeker International Charitable Ball in London, which celebrated the music of The Bee Gees and raised money for the Outward Bound Trust, a British charity that uses outdoor experiences and challenges to help and develop young people. Take a look at some of the press pictures. Melanie also performed during the event. It won't be long now before the delivery date.

Happy Birthday Melanie. Hope it was wonderful.

Poll Results # 27

Ooops, I forgot to post the poll results yesterday. Okay, so last weeks question was Which One Of The Spice Girls Would You Dress Up As For Halloween? There were a lot of votes for this one, which thrills me deep, and here are the results in order of most voted for...

Victoria (with 42% of the vote)

Emma (with 38% of the vote)

Mel B. (with 15% of the vote)

Geri (with 7% of the vote)

Melanie C (with 3% of of the vote)

I kinda thought Geri would have been closer to the top, but I like those results. Thanks for voting. I am unfortunately (or fortunately, however you look at it), going to be skipping the poll for the next two weeks because I am going to be leaving for a cruise tomorrow and I will be gone for two weeks all together, so technically this means I won't be posting at all for that time frame. Your host needs a bit of a break. I'll add a few posts today to tide you over. See you soon.

Spice Girls: Miami Spice

In the summer of 1998, two weeks after Geri Halliwell left the Spice Girls, the remaining four touched down in Miami to start the American Leg of The Spice World Tour. Before the first show in Miami, they sat down with UK interviewer Andi Peters to discuss Geri's departure, their personal lives, and their success so far. This special also had the pleasure of bringing us the premiere of the Viva Forever video. I will add this video in better quality at some point, don't you worry. Enjoy.

Mel B: Clears Up Music Rumours

Melanie has cleared up any rumours of "Whose Is It" being the lead single from her new album. The song is a demo song (among many) that she has recorded for the album and nothing more. She does not even suspect that it will make the final cut for the album. She still has tooling around to do with the album and a few LA collaborations that she hopes will fall into place before it's release next year.

So we can all breathe a sigh of relief, as much as I personally liked the song I did think it was a strange song to lead off with.

Mel B: Hosts The Paul O'Grady Show (2008)

Last night Mel stood in for Paul O'Grady as host of his talkshow and had the pleasure of interviewing her friend Melanie C, as well as Kim Cattrall (Sex And The City) and Solange Knowles. Take a look.

Melanie C: Something For The Weekend (2006)

I have previously posted video's of Emma and Geri in kitchen type settings when they were each on The F Word with Gordon Ramsey, but now I'm bringing you an interview with Melanie C that she did in 2006 to promote her Live Hits DVD on the show Something For The Weekend. First is the actual interview, and the second clip shows Mel in the kitchen helping to make a Butternut and Pumpkin Pie. Take a look.

Geri Halliwell: Bag It Up

Bag It Up is the fourth and final single released from Geri's debut solo album "Schizophonic" (1999). The song which is a lyrical jamboree about the battle of the sexes was Geri's third solo UK number one single and caused quite the stir when she performed it during the 2000 Brit Awards, appearing from between a pair of blow up legs and writhing about the stage with a gaggle of pink haired muscle men. I thought it was hot and hilarious personally.
The video for the song features Geri as a spokesperson for a product aptly called "Girl Powder", which is guaranteed to turn your man into your very own obedient servant. The pink hair may be a setback to some. By the end of the video Geri has stripped all of the employees at the Girl Powder factory down to their boxers for a poll dance and a walk on their leashes. Definitely my favorite Geri video.

Poll Results # 26

Geri certainly gets a lot of votes when the polls focus on her. The results are in for this weeks question on the poll. The question was Which single from Geri's Schizophonic album is your favorite? The end tally in order of most voted for looked like this,

Bag It Up (with 43% of the vote)

Look At Me (with 26% of the vote)

Mi Chico Latino (also with 26% of the vote)

Lift Me Up (with 8% of the vote)

Thanks for voting (as always). Now, this probably should have been last weeks question but I didn't really think ahead, so it will have to do this week. I'm curious as to Which One Of The Spice Girls Would You Dress Up As For Halloween? Vote Away and Happy Belated Halloween to you all.

Mel B: Whose Is It (First Listen)

Hey Everybody,

I bring to you today a link to listen to Mel B's new single "Whose Is It". This is a high quality version of the song that will be a part of her forthcoming third solo album. Anyway, HERE IS THE LINK. And here are the lyrics for those that want them.

Yeah I'm british!
Say what! ???

Don't swim in the water,If you don't wanna get wet.
Don't come in my kitchen, if you don't wanna sweat.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.

You better freeze don't move. It's about to go up.
I'm a renegade, so it's about to get rough.
Take these handcuffs, your under arrest.
I got probable cause, this is not a test.

Got a bone to pick. Yeah I'm talking to you.
It's a sticky situation. Hope ya got sweetooth.

Make me stretch, do you like aerobics class
When you do the hokey pokey turn around and smack that... ha! ha!

You can't deny.
I see you got your feelings ???
But don't lose it now, hold it back.
There's a question I gotta to ask before we end it.
I wanna hear it.

Whose is it? Huh? It's mine. It's mine. It's mine. It's mine.
Whose is it? Huh? It's mine. It's mine. It's mine. It's mine.
Whose is it? Whose is it? I got it. I got it.
Whose is it? Huh? It's mine. It's mine. It's mine. It's mine.

I can't hear you (Speak up, say it louder)
Double dare you (Speak up, say it louder)

Whose is it? Whose is it? whose is it? What? What?
Whose is it? Whose is it? whose is it? What? What?

Don't swim in the water, if you don't wanna get wet.
Don't come in my kitchen, if you don't wanna sweat.

Better stop don't move. It's about to get hot.
When I get in position. Don't move last spot.
You're driving this car but i'm in control.
So when I put it in fifth, don't let the clutch go.

Gonna take it for a trip from the ground to the sky.
So when I say can you feel this? Then you better not lie.

Make me stretch, do you like aerobics class
When you do the hokey pokey turn around and smack that... ha! ha!

You can't deny.
I see you got your feelings ???
But don't lose it now, hold it back.
There's a question I gotta to ask before we end it.
I wanna hear it.

Whose is it? Huh? It's mine. It's mine. It's mine. It's mine.
Whose is it? Huh? It's mine. It's mine. It's mine. It's mine.
Whose is it? Whose is it? I got it. I got it.
Whose is it? Huh? It's mine. It's mine. It's mine. It's mine.

I can't hear you (Speak up, say it louder)
Double dare you (Speak up, say it louder)

Whose is it? Whose is it? whose is it? What? What?
Whose is it? Whose is it? whose is it? What? What?

Yeah I'm british!
Say what! ???

Don't swim in the water, If you don't wanna get wet.
Don't come in my kitchen, if you don't wanna sweat

I think it's good, but I want to know what you think, so leave some comments on your thoughts.

Melanie C: Adopt A Word

Melanie has joined the adopt a word campaign in the UK which is an initiative for the I Can organization. The organization supports speech skills for children with special needs, by making a donation and adopting a word for a year you can a help a child learn to communicate.

Melanie has chosen to adopt the word "Red". Her reasons for doing so are,

"Red is my favourite colour. It is strong, powerful, energetic and can be dangerous! Liverpool's home strip (the best team in the world) is the most glorious of reds and in China red is believed to be very lucky. Red rules!"

If you'd like to adopt a word, visit their website and find out how to do so.

Melanie C: Orange Playlist Interview (2007)

Please watch this. I think this might just be, handsdown the greatest interview I have ever seen with Melanie C. She reveals some of her musical influences, her favorite songs, stories from her childhood, behind the scenes stories about her time in the Spice Girls, performing solo, and much more. Enjoy.

Mel B: First Single?

This is so far unconfirmed, but it is rumoured that the first single from Mel B's next solo album will be a song called "Whose Is It?" produced by Scott Storch and it will be released by the end of the year. The record will be released through G&A Records which is distributed through Universal.

What do you think?

Victoria Beckham: Underwear Model?

It seems that Victoria is a chip off the old Beckham block because she has just been announced as the new spokesmodel for Emporio Armani's womens underwear line, following in the footsteps of her footballer husband David who is currently the designers model for their mens underwear line.

"Victoria is a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women's underwear business."

Victoria has already posed for an array of ads for the fashion line which will be making appearances in fashion publications starting next spring. The photo's were taken by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (the same team who worked with David) at a ritzy beachside community in Malibu.

Victoria stated, “It’s a huge compliment being asked to be in the campaign and to be part of the worldwide campaign for Emporio Armani underwear,” she added. “It’s really exciting to me. Mr. Armani is a lovely person and his team is fantastic, so it’s a really exciting project for me to be involved with. And hopefully they will see a huge response.”
