Spice Girls: Goodbye

I write this post today with a twinge of sadness in my throat. After a two year battle with stomach cancer, my Dear Aunty Ann passed away this morning at her home in Scotland.

She was a strong, funny, kind hearted, generous, and extremely loving woman who was an absolute joy to be around. Everyone who met her fell in love with her. My Brother and I always used to say that she reminded us of Joanna Lumley's character Patsy on Absolutely Fabulous because she always had a brandy and diet coke in one hand, a cigarette in the other and she was really quick witted. She always had a new Scottish term that she would try to teach me with her Farfer accent which always had us laughing. She was and is my favorite Aunt and I will remember her always.

So I'm adding the video for goodbye in sweet loving Memory to my Aunty Ann. I Love You.

Emma Bunton: I'll Be There

I'm such a loser. I had no idea that Emma had even released a video for this song, despite being aware that she had indeed released it as a single. I guess I just assumed that it was a radio single...no there really is no excuse for my stupidity. I know now, and knowing is half the battle (GI Joe).

It was the third release from the Free Me album, it went to number 7 in the UK charts, and the black and white Parisian car thief themed video was directed by Giuseppe Capotondi.

I enjoy this song very much. The vid is a bit hoakey but not as bad as a few of her video's have been.

Melanie C: Rhys Jones Concert Interview

Last month Melanie took part in a special concert that was dedicated to the memory of a 13 year old boy named Rhys Jones who was murdered at gunpoint in Liverpool last summer while walking home from football practice.

The concert, which took place at the Echo Arena in Liverpool (Melanie's hometown), featured well known british entertainers like Melanie, band Eaton Road, former Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton, and comic Jimmy Tarbuck, as well as local entertainment from Rhys' community.

The concert served as a loving tribute to Rhys and also raised money for the Liverpool Unites campaign which is raising money for the Rhys Jones Memorial Fund who aim to open a community centre in honor of Rhys.

Watch Mel discuss what the event means for her and also the lads from Eaton Road.

Mel B: On Jimmy Kimmel Live (2008)

Mel appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her reality show The Singing Office back in July.

Watch to hear who Jimmy thinks is Mel's favorite Spice Girl (other than herself)with Spice Doll visuals, a few details about her new solo album, and how she felt co-hosting at the Miss Universe pageant in Vietnam with Jerry Springer.

Victoria Beckham: Dress Line First Look

Here is a first hand look at Victoria's new DVB dress line which she showcased in a private viewing yesterday morning as part of New York Fashion week.

Vic's had this to say about the range,

“Structure is an important word to use when discussing my collection. The corsets and belts that have been incorporated into my dresses have been made in such a way that they are comfortable and supportive. My clothes are designed for women from a woman’s perspective.”

“I like to focus on the posture of a woman and how she holds herself, which led me to incorporate features such as modern corsetry and grosgrain details. In addition, there are finer grosgrain belts that are incorporated into the line of the softer constructed dresses to give this effect in a more subtle way, thus enabling women of all sizes to wear my dresses to create a magnificent silhouette.”

Victoria is expected to be at her friend Marc Jacob's showing today in New York. Most likely front row. What do you think about Victoria's new designs?

Melanie C: The Friday Night Project (Part 5)

Does Charlotte win a trip to Norway along with the rest of her fantastic prizes? Watch above to find out.

Plus The Enemy perform their single "Had Enough".

Melanie C: The Friday Night Project (Part 4)

Melanie lets the audience Ask Her Anything, including a question from her own baby Brother Paul, and helps an audience member win prizes in the Melanie C big fun gameshow.

Who would have thought, Mel and Robbie. Not a big surprise though, he is yummy in my opinion. I hope that look meant it was worth it.

Melanie C: The Friday Night Project (Part 3)

Another thrilling game of Who Knows The Most About The Guest Host with special team players Richard E. Grant (whom we loved as Clifford in Spice World, among other roles) and some chippy I've never even heard of. Find out what Mel did for Victoria and David on their first date and what she taught Mel B to do.

Also watch as Mel plays a practical joke on a man named Nial.

Oh Lord, The ping-pong trick. tsk tsk.

Melanie C: The Friday Night Project (Part 2)

Melanie turns herself into Posh Spice for a wannabe spoof and she and Alan update us with the Friday Night News.

"Some of the prisons are so crowded criminals have to stand in their cells, well apart from the pretty ones...they're allowed to kneel."

Alan is hysterical. Plus we get to hear Mel's infectious laugh every two seconds. Quality viewing.

Melanie C: The Friday Night Project (Part 1)

I've tried adding the last clip of Geri hosting The Friday Night Project but it's just not working. Don't worry, all that happens is that Bjirn guy wins the trip to Orlando, they say goodnight and Sam Sparro performs.

On to the task at hand. A week before the Spice Girls announced their reunion, Melanie C guest hosted the friday night project herself. Many of the elements are the same as when Geri hosted (staple bits) but there are some funny skits.

Here we have Mel's introduction and a video of Justin and Alan meeting up with Mel in Majorca, Spain.

"Victoria's alright, anyone can point."

Victoria Beckham: Happy Birthday Romeo

Victoria and David's middle son Romeo, just celebrated his 6th birthday this past Monday (September 1st) and our darling Vic's threw her lucky boy a super hero themed birthday bash yesterday afternoon at Universal Studio's in LA.

Romeo dressed as Batman and his little brother Cruz dressed as the red Power Ranger and both were joined by some of Mom's celebrity friends and their kids, including Heidi Klum and her two kids Leni and Henry, Gavin Rossdale and his son Kingston, and fellow Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and her daughter Bluebell.
Despite the absense of her Mother, Mel B's daughter Phoenix also showed up to help celebrate Romeo's special day. Happy Birthday Romeo.
Sidenote: Doesn't Geri's daughter look like a little clone of her? Actually she kinda looks a bit like Nicole Kidman. Well...Nicole Kidman back in the day, y'know before she discovered the hair straightener.

Victoria Beckham: "I'm Good At What I Do"

Rumours have been circulating that Victoria's DVB fashion line is in trouble after she announced that her new line of DVB dresses would not be shown on a full catwalk at New York Fashion Week as originally scheduled, opting instead for a small private viewing. However, Victoria insists that the brand has been a success this past year.

In fact, Vicki blames the media for putting a negative spin on her fashion endeavours, stating...

"There are always people out there waiting for us to fail. But I don't let that deter me. I'm a perfectionist and I'm good at what I do. Career-wise, the opportunities and success I've had this year are outstanding. My brand's going from strength to strength."

Other criticism's came earlier this year when the DVB Denim line was pulled from LA boutique, Kitson. The store cited poor sales and a lack of promotion from Posh.

I know that Victoria's designs are expensive but I'm sure some one must be buying them.

Geri Halliwell: The Friday Night Project (Part 4)

Geri allows the audience (and Gordon Ramsey) to Ask Her Anything and she plays the Geri Halliwell Big Fun Gameshow in order to win prizes for audience member Bjirn.

"Now I feel dirty because I wanna ask what color it is down there."
